Lead Embedded Software Engineer C C++

Lead embedded software development in Horsham, Pennsylvania, using expert C and C++ skills across optical networking products and systems. This onsite role supports existing and future products.

As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer, you will design customer-driven features, resolve legacy product issues, and improve development processes. The work includes embedded Linux, networking protocols, Agile delivery, and collaboration with validation, integration, optical, hardware, and test engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design software features from customer and product requirements
• Develop features for existing and future products
• Resolve bugs and sustaining issues in legacy products
• Drive code reviews and software design practices
• Maintain accurate, current software documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Five-plus years developing embedded software systems
• Three-plus years in optical networking equipment
• Expertise in C and C++ embedded programming
• Familiarity with L2/L3 protocols and embedded Linux
