Lead Engineer Software Development

In this role you will lead the design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise software supporting critical infrastructure. You’ll mentor engineers, drive best practices across the SDLC, and coordinate cross‑functional delivery with internal teams and external partners. You’ll work hands‑on to shape technical solutions while fostering an high‑performing engineering culture. The position blends technical leadership with practical delivery, at a hybrid Warwick site with travel to client sites.

• Lead the design, development and delivery of enterprise software across the full SDLC
• Provide line management, coaching and mentoring to Software Engineers
• Coordinate technical delivery across internal teams and external partners
• Support strategic software initiatives and drive technical excellence
• Champion engineering best practice, code quality and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with architects to create innovative solutions for bids and customer needs
• Identify technical risks and lift team capability through hands‑on leadership

• Strong SDLC experience
• Proven experience leading development teams
• Experience with CCTV and video streaming technologies and protocols
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Database development with SQL and No‑SQL
• Experience leading delivery across multiple workstreams
• Proficiency in .NET, Angular, SignalR, C#, JavaScript and Python
