Overview

As Lead eSoftware Engineer in the Electronic Trading Technology group, you drive development of secure, scalable, low-latency trading solutions. You work with an agile, front-office–facing team to design and deliver critical technologies across trading engines, algos, and risk management. You partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust software and lead communities of practice to adopt cutting-edge tech. The role blends hands-on coding with architectural oversight to keep platforms competitive and compliant.

Responsibilities
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and debug others' code
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues for stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into requirements
  • Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies
  • Act as a front office developer interfacing with the trading desk
  • Work on frameworks, infrastructure, trading engines, and algos
  • Participate in all SDLC phases from requirements to testing
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovation opportunities
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification on C++14 onwards concepts
  • Advanced experience in multi-threaded and concurrent programming
  • Experience in TCP/IP network programming; familiarity with LBM/UME
  • Proven track record in ultra-low latency application development
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix; understanding of OS and kernel architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of system architecture, design, and business processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and build relationships
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and Agile methodologies
  • Collaborative team player
