Overview

In this role you lead technically and act as a force multiplier to raise engineering standards and delivery speed. You will mentor teammates, design fit-for-purpose architectures, and apply AI-enabled capabilities to improve how work gets done while keeping security, scalability, and reliability at the forefront. You collaborate across functions to simplify systems, reduce toil, and build reusable patterns that accelerate delivery. You drive responsible use of AI and guardrails within enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to the team
  • Raise engineering standards and accelerate delivery
  • Design and build architectures balancing simplicity, quality, scale, and security
  • Simplify systems and workflows, removing friction and toil
  • Create reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling to speed up delivery
  • Ramp up quickly in new domains and adapt to evolving needs
  • Apply strong engineering fundamentals across software design, data, testing, and distributed systems
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation with human accountability for high-risk decisions
  • Build software with a reliability-first mindset including secure coding, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout/rollback
  • Ensure production systems meet resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability requirements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Extensive professional software development experience with depth in full-stack engineering and system/app architecture
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful and streaming APIs
  • Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions (microservices, containers, modern deployment patterns)
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores at scale
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities (GenAI/ML) to enhance productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes with responsible use
