Lead Infrastructure Engineer

In this senior leadership role you will own the infrastructure strategy and delivery for a high-performance trading platform across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will drive AWS migration, build greenfield trading and research environments, and shape the long‑term engineering roadmap. You’ll lead a small, senior team with autonomy and impact, partnering with engineering, trading and risk functions to ensure highly available, low‑latency global infrastructure.

• Own infrastructure architecture across cloud, on‑prem and hybrid platforms
• Lead end-to-end AWS migration and modernisation strategy
• Build greenfield environments for trading and research workloads
• Design and operate highly available, low‑latency global infrastructure
• Take ownership of Microsoft services, Active Directory and core networking
• Engineer secure connectivity across firewalls, routing and multi-site links
• Drive network security, segmentation and access control strategy
• Lead and grow a high‑performing infrastructure/DevOps team
• Partner closely with engineering, trading and risk functions
• Automate provisioning and deployment with IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform/Ansible)
• Scale monitoring, cost optimisation and system reliability in production

• 3+ years in infrastructure leadership within trading, market-making or high‑performance engineering environments
• 8+ years of experience
• Strong AWS architecture and hybrid (cloud + on‑prem) experience
• Deep networking background: routing, switching, low‑latency connectivity
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering and autoscaling systems
• Prior experience building and scaling teams in high‑performing environments
• Confident interacting with technical and trading leadership
