Overview

In this Lead Infrastructure Engineer role, you drive the reliability and performance of critical market data platforms within a global financial services firm. You join a high-performing Market Data team, working across production environments and shifts to support trading workflows. You will implement changes, automate operations, and apply AI-assisted approaches to design and documentation, delivering resilient, auditable infrastructure. This role offers impact through modernization and close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities
  • Provide production support for critical market data platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and availability
  • Implement production changes with clear root-cause ownership and timely resolution
  • Develop tools and automation to improve production support, monitoring, and stability
  • Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and validate outputs
  • Drive a workstream of infrastructure technologies to modernize processes and resolve issues
  • Assess upstream/downstream data and systems implications and advise mitigation actions
  • Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices to identify recurring issues and ensure changes are traceable and secure
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts with experience in TREP / DACS
  • Deep knowledge in at least one infrastructure area (hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, automation, resilience, or performance)
  • Experience using enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities with validation and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Proficiency in one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages
  • Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge across public and private clouds
  • Hands-on experience with market data technologies used by trading apps (installation and support) such as LSEG RMDS and EEDs, DACS, Bloomberg BPIPE and MFA, Solace, Metafluent, ITRS Geneos
  • Data content and quality expertise and experience with tick history tools
  • Networking (IP, TCP/UDP/MCAST) and Linux (RedHat) system administration
  • Preferred: direct market data feeds / trading content experience; programming/scripting: Shell, Python, Perl, SQL; optional: Javascript, C++
