Lead Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared)

Support, maintenance and optimisation of the BMC Helix platform suite including

BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM)

BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO)

BMC Helix Discovery

Resources will provide infrastructure engineering expertise, platform support, service improvement activities and technical leadership to maximise value from the Helix implementation and support operational teams. Engineers will participate in the out-of-hours support rota.

Maintain operational support for the AutoSys Workload Automation estate.

Maintain and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite.

Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements and improve team resilience.

Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions supporting Flexera SaaS integration.

Provide engineering expertise and leadership to enable strategic workstreams to continue whilst maintaining BAU services.

Support service availability, stability and operational effectiveness across DWP tooling services.

Resources must possess demonstrable experience of one or more of the following technologies:

• AutoSys Workload Automation (WLA)
• BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM)
• BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO)
• BMC Helix Discovery
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• DevOps engineering practices
• Flexera Software Asset Management platform (desirable)

The SFIA 5 resource requirement reflects the need for engineers capable of both technical delivery and leadership responsibilities whilst enabling existing DWP resources to focus on strategic initiatives.
