Lead IT Applications Software Engineer - Finance Systems

As a Senior Engineer, Finance Systems, you design, build, and integrate finance applications with a focus on FP&A. You’ll act as the internal technical owner for a purchased FP&A product and later expand to other finance apps, collaborating with the NetSuite platform team. You guide vendors and SIs, maintain best practices, and ensure security and resilience for Finance stakeholders. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role in a fast-growing IT-finance environment. • Act as internal technical owner for finance applications (FP&A focus) and oversee vendor/SI implementation, QA, UAT, and go-live
• Favor configuration over customization and challenge Finance processes to fit packaged solutions
• Ensure smooth transition from SI to business-as-usual with ongoing improvement and support
• Design, develop, configure, and integrate finance apps beyond FP&A, including NetSuite integrations via APIs and data models
• Turn FP&A and other finance needs into technical designs and working solutions with Finance stakeholders
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for development and customization activities
• Provide security, data protection, and technical guidance to SI partners and colleagues
• Stay current on finance-application platforms and propose improvements
• Collaborate with Finance, NetSuite platform team, and other systems teams

• Bachelor degree in CS, CIS, MIS, Business Admin, or related subject (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years building and integrating business applications with finance exposure (FP&A, ERP, billing)
• Experience with ERP landscape (NetSuite or similar) is desirable
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating business/finance apps (APIs, data models, SQL, middleware)
• Understanding of configuration vs customization and keeping products within boundaries
• Experience with FP&A products (Anaplan, OneStream, Pigment, or NetSuite Planning) is highly desirable
• Ability to oversee vendor/SI implementations while doing hands-on engineering
• Knowledge of IT service management, change management, incidents, and problems
• Knowledge of access management, IT controls, SOC, SOX, GDPR
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience managing SIs/implementation partners
