Lead Java Cloud Native Architect

Shape cloud-native Java systems at Citi through Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and architectural leadership across full-time enterprise applications.

As an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst, you will define resilient architectures and guide implementation for highly available systems. The work emphasizes Java 17+, Spring Boot, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, and continuous modernization. You will partner with DevOps teams, support governance, and mentor engineers within an agile pod.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of resilient microservices
• Define Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, probes, and autoscaling
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with quality gates and security scans
• Coach engineers in clean code, design patterns, and TDD
• Assess technical risks and uphold secure development practices

Requirements:

• Six or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on Java 17 or Java 21 expertise
• Strong Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm knowledge
• Experience with Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and caching
• Effective communication with stakeholders and architecture review boards
