In this Lead Software Engineer role, you will drive secure, scalable software solutions within an agile Post Trade Technology team. You collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to deliver dependable production systems that support the firm’s business objectives. You will shape architecture, evaluate new technologies, and lead communities of practice to foster innovation and operational excellence. Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative software solutions, with focus on security and reliability
  • Develop high-quality production code and review peers’ work
  • Automate remediation of recurring issues and optimize operations
  • Lead vendor evaluation sessions with external and internal teams
  • Evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials to drive outcomes
  • Lead communities of practice for Software Engineering
  • Promote adoption of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Support a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
Key requirements
  • Hands-on system design and application development experience
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
  • Proficiency with automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Experience with cloud-based technical disciplines (cloud, AI/ML, mobile)
  • Practical cloud-native experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT landscape
