Position: Lead Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Northampton

Duration: Until 31 May 2027, with potential to renew

Working Pattern: 2-3 days onsite per week

Rate: £390/day inside IR35

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer to join an enterprise development team, delivering scalable and high-quality applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. You'll play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through to testing and deployment, working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' experience in Java Full Stack Development
• Strong front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js and Jest
• Strong back-end expertise with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs and Microservices
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito and automated testing
• Good knowledge of SQL, ideally MS SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms and messaging technologies
• Strong understanding of TDD, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum
• Experience with Cucumber and Selenium
• Familiarity with tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, Veracode, Maven and NPM
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
