Overview

In this role you will lead on-premise Linux platform engineering for a fintech trading environment, shaping scalable server and network infrastructure. You will partner with a high-performance infrastructure team to automate deployments and manage production systems, ensuring reliable, secure platforms for equities, fixed income and FX trading. You will tackle complex incidents and drive change-management processes, balancing BAU with strategic project work. Responsibilities
  • Manage on-premise platforms and hosted server architecture (Dell hardware, Linux/VMs)
  • Oversee systems administration and automation to enable efficient deployment
  • Troubleshoot, handle incident escalations and support production change management
  • Blend project work with BAU tasks to improve platform stability and automation
  • Lead automation initiatives for configuration management and standardization
Key requirements
  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Substantial experience deploying and managing Linux servers
  • Experience managing virtual machines
  • Knowledge of Rest APIs, Git, PKI and SSL certificates, RedHat/Fedora, DNS, Mail, LDAP and kernel-level debugging (desirable)
  • Automation and configuration management experience (Ansible, Python, Puppet or similar)
  • Scripting/coding experience
