Overview

In this role you will lead and contribute as the technical backbone of a mobile squad responsible for native Android and iOS apps. You will collaborate with a Product Manager and UX team to deliver scalable, well-architected mobile experiences and mentor engineers to grow. You’ll stay hands-on, shaping technical direction, architecture, and code quality while partnering with backend teams and cloud services. This is an opportunity to influence mobile strategy, improve product stability, and drive high-impact features in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and development of native Android and iOS apps with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  • Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, frameworks, libraries, and best practices for code quality, performance, accessibility, and security
  • Remain hands-on, writing and reviewing mobile code to ensure high-quality, maintainable applications
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume robust APIs
  • Mentor and coach mobile engineers to foster ownership and technical excellence
  • Own build, release, and deployment processes including CI/CD and app store submissions
  • Champion automated testing, observability, and responsible use of AI to enhance developer productivity and software quality
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on mobile apps
  • Strong experience building native Android and iOS apps and understanding modern mobile architectures
  • Experience as Lead Engineer, Tech Lead, or Senior Mobile Engineer leading a small team
  • Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into workflows
  • Hands-on experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and cloud services
  • Strong testing focus with mobile testing frameworks and automated testing approaches
  • Experience owning mobile CI/CD pipelines and app store releases
  • Observability mindset with crash reporting, performance monitoring, and analytics tools
  • Proficiency with Git, Jira, Confluence, and modern agile workflows
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, review code/designs, and balance pragmatism with excellence
