Lead Network Engineer

You will lead and shape a global network program, owning design, implementation, and support of secure, scalable LAN/WAN, data center, wireless, and cloud networking. The role blends hands-on engineering with project delivery, standards, and continuous improvement, including automation and NetDevOps to reduce toil and risk. You’ll collaborate across network, cloud, infra, and information security teams to deliver secure end-to-end solutions. This is a high-impact position influencing architecture, operation, and governance in a multi-cloud environment.

• Lead design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of highly available, secure LAN/WAN, data center, remote-access, and cloud network services.
• Architect on-prem to public cloud integrations (Azure, AWS) aligned with business, security, and availability requirements.
• Drive network segmentation with Zero Trust and identity-based access controls.
• Administer Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud-native networking services.
• Translate requirements into designs, plans, test plans, migrations, and operational docs.
• Monitor network health, performance, capacity, availability, security, and business continuity across global environments.
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex incidents; lead RCA and preventive actions.
• Plan and deliver upgrades, migrations, office deployments, acquisitions, with testing and cutover.
• Identify opportunities to automate repeatable tasks; promote NetDevOps for efficiency and risk reduction.
• Contribute to reusable automation workflows using Ansible, Python, APIs, Terraform, and Git; maintain network design and support.
• Apply peer review, testing, validation, documentation, and rollback controls to changes.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, standards, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cloud, infra, security, application, and service management teams for secure end-to-end solutions.
• Manage vendor and service-provider relationships; oversee escalation and service improvement.
• Champion change, security, audit, and governance requirements for production network services.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to engineers to promote standardization and continuous improvement.

• Seven+ years in enterprise network engineering with design and support of complex, highly available environments.
• Strong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, HA).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN (Cisco SD-WAN/Viptela or Prisma SD-WAN).
• Cloud networking experience in Azure and AWS; GCP/OCI is a plus.
• Solid understanding of network security (segmentation, encryption, secure remote access, threat prevention, policy enforcement).
• Experience supporting 24x7 production environments with incident response, DR, and change control.
• History leading technical delivery through full lifecycle (requirements to handover).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work across global, cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities; takes ownership of outcomes.
• Willingness to travel within the EMEA region up to a few times per month.
