Overview

In this role you will lead the London-based Price Data Operations team, delivering critical market intelligence for the global energy and commodity markets. You will manage and develop a high-performing team, collaborate with Editorial, Product and Technology stakeholders, and drive automation and AI-enabled improvements. The role balances day-to-day data operations with strategic initiatives to support key business objectives. You will shape data pipelines, metadata management, and scalable solutions that enhance accuracy, speed and stakeholder satisfaction. This opportunity combines leadership with hands-on data and automation work in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage metadata and data pipelines to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support clients with data and metadata integration, validation, and provisioning
  • Execute queries to retrieve and manipulate structured datasets for analysis and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
  • Prioritise team workload and operational activities to meet objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI and digital solutions
  • Design, develop and continuously improve AI agents, Copilot solutions and automated workflows
  • Lead process automation initiatives using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Query
  • Translate manual processes into scalable, automated, AI-driven solutions
  • Foster an open, collaborative team culture and ensure service levels
  • Monitor team performance, report metrics, and address training needs and conflicts
  • Coach and develop team members and promote best practices
Key requirements
  • 3+ years in data-related roles
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or related field
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel proficiency with advanced formulas
  • Experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing and automation
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboards
  • SQL querying of relational databases, preferably Oracle
  • Knowledge of data workflows, metadata management and database architectures
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Power Automate
  • Experience building AI agents, copilots and automated workflows
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements through automation and digital transformation
  • Experience integrating Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel and enterprise systems into automated workflows
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and generative AI in business
