Overview
In this role you will help shape how data moves, is governed, and used across Condé Nast’s platforms. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Audience, Commercial and Legal teams to design secure, compliant data flows and governance controls. You’ll embed governance in technical delivery for self-service analytics and AI, focusing on data access, privacy, and quality. This position offers impact across multiple brands and a chance to strengthen trust in data at scale.

- Define governance standards for data platforms, including access, controls, and configuration
- Define data access, classification, ownership, and lifecycle requirements
- Govern governance of business-facing datasets with clear ownership and usage boundaries
- Support governance of AI and self-service analytics data products
- Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure governance, privacy and data quality are considered in design
- Lead technical privacy reviews across websites, apps, and backend services
- Translate legal and governance requirements into technical controls and implementation guidance
- Manage end-to-end data mapping and maintain records of systems, vendors, data elements and processing activities
- Maintain governance documentation including data standards, classifications, lineage and operating procedures
- Operate governance monitoring with tools like Didomi, Privado and ObservePoint
- Validate tracking, consent enforcement and data transmission for cookies and pixels
- Collaborate with Business & Legal Affairs during regulatory reviews and audits
- Explain data flows and governance decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years in data privacy, data governance or ad tech within digital media environments
- Strong understanding of data collection from websites, mobile apps and APIs
- Experience with Databricks, Snowplow, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or similar
- Experience reviewing data flows from front-end collection to backend systems and vendors
- Working knowledge of consent management platforms and frameworks such as TCF
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and modern privacy principles and translating them into technical controls
- Ability to collaborate across Technology, Product, Engineering and Legal teams
