Overview

In this role you will lead analytics for Wise’s Financial Crime Platform, guiding data‑driven decisions that balance risk with a smooth customer experience. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering and analytics teams to expose data insights that shape FinCrime measures and product outcomes. You will own key metrics, build and maintain data pipelines, and support risk and ML feature development with engineers and data scientists. This position sits within a large, cross‑functional analytics community focused on scalable, secure risk management. Your work will help prevent financial crime while enabling fast, user‑friendly onboarding and transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to drive measurable changes for customers
  • Expose data at scale to product teams and help discovery of insights in data solutions
  • Own and track key metrics and outcomes for the product team across the quarter
  • Support senior/lead analysts by building pipelines, preparing reports, and visualisations
  • Partner with data scientists and engineers to develop FinCrime prevention features and integrate with external vendors
  • Build framework for managing risk and customer experience
  • Drive discovery by scoping opportunities to reduce financial crime through insights
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience
  • 2+ years in advanced analytics and statistical techniques
  • Strong SQL experience; dbt (ideally) and Python/R
  • Ability to scale and productionise code, models and ETLs
  • Strong quantitative background (statistics, maths, physics, engineering, computing)
  • Excellent communication skills; translate business problems into analytical solutions
  • Ability to structure problems with minimal supervision and prioritize with PMs/Engineers
  • Proactive, curious, hands-on attitude to derive insights from large unstructured datasets
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) and storytelling with data
