Lead Product Security Engineer

Lead product security for a fully remote Canadian team, protecting customer data through authorization, privacy engineering, and production code.

This first dedicated security hire will work across every product team at a late-stage B2B data and AI company. You will spend most of your week in the codebase, secure internet-facing APIs, and shape designs before customers depend on them. The role reports to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and own the application security roadmap
• Ship security fixes in TypeScript and Go
• Harden products before they reach customers
• Secure PII handling, data residency, GDPR, and CCPA controls
• Extend backend security across new regions

Requirements:

• Deep distributed systems knowledge and backend experience
• Six or more years of security engineering experience
• Hands-on tenant isolation and authorization experience
• Experience at a high-growth or venture-backed company
• Computer Science, Math, Physics, or similar degree
