Overview

In this role you lead and contribute as a software engineer within a well-funded FinTech, guiding a talented team while staying close to architecture and delivery. You’ll shape engineering standards, mentor engineers, and tackle complex technical challenges on a modern Python platform. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to steer technical direction and deliver new capabilities that support critical financial services. Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team
  • Influence architectural direction and oversee delivery of new capabilities
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to align on technical solutions
  • Maintain and uplift engineering standards across the SDLC
  • Contribute hands-on in architecture, design and problem solving on a Python-based platform
Key requirements
  • Experienced Python Developer with strong software engineering practices and full SDLC experience
  • Team leadership experience including mentoring, 1-2-1s and performance reviews
  • Knowledge of cloud services (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
  • Experience building APIs, ideally FastAPI
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing and deployment
  • Solid CS fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns, algorithms)
  • Collaborative, pragmatic communicator
  • STEM degree with 2.1 or above
