Lead SAS-to-Python modernization remotely across Canada or the United States, applying Python, Anaconda, SQL, and technical leadership during CST hours.

Adastra seeks a senior or lead developer for large-scale modernization initiatives. You will interpret complex SAS programs, datasets, and workflows while developing Python applications, Unix automation, and scalable analytical solutions. The work spans technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAS decommissioning and migration activities
  • Interpret SAS programs and processes for Python environments
  • Develop, test, and maintain Python applications
  • Build Unix-based automation and data processing pipelines
  • Establish standards and guide technical implementation

Requirements:

  • Senior or lead software development experience
  • Hands-on Python, Anaconda, SQL, and SAS expertise
  • Strong Linux or Unix scripting experience
  • Experience with Netezza and Redshift databases
  • Experience with testing, debugging, and performance tuning
