About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Software Architect to guide their technical direction in Kimberley . You will be responsible for defining and overseeing the design of complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. This senior role requires a deep understanding of software design patterns, technology trends, and best practices to build robust and future-proof solutions within the IT and Software domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document the overall architecture for software systems, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for software development.
  • Ensure the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior architects and senior engineers on architectural best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectural designs.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a software architecture role.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed software systems.
  • Deep knowledge of software design patterns, architectural styles (e.g., microservices, SOA), and principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their architectural considerations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
