In this Lead Software Engineer role, you will guide the design and delivery of scalable, secure data platforms that underpin global KYC and risk assessment efforts. You’ll lead multiple teams, set architecture and engineering standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to create high-quality, production-ready software. The position sits in the corporate data engineering group, aligning with the firm’s mission to enable trusted, data-driven decisions at scale. Responsibilities
  • Develop secure, production-grade data-intensive software
  • Mentor engineers and review code to raise technical quality
  • Create reusable software patterns and frameworks across teams
  • Drive adoption of advanced engineering practices and SDLC methods
  • Advise cross-functional teams on technology decisions
  • Enhance automation at scale using AI-assisted development
  • Lead architectural decisions across multiple teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
  • Champion software engineering and data engineering best practices
  • Support a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • Hands-on system design and enterprise-scale development, testing, and ops
  • Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark
  • Deep expertise in cloud, AI/ML, or data engineering
  • Experience with large-scale data processing, microservices, APIs, Kafka, Redis, and observability tools
  • Relational and NoSQL databases, vector stores, data lakes, and data governance
  • Cloud-native experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Ability to communicate with senior leaders and executives
