Overview

As Lead Software Engineer in the Epyx division, you will shape the architecture and delivery of the r2cOnline and 1link ecosystem. You collaborate with engineers and designers across platforms to build a cohesive, reliable, high-performance product suite. You’ll contribute to architectural roadmaps, adopt modern development practices, and mentor teams while driving continuous improvement. This role offers influence over technology strategy and opportunities to introduce AI-driven enhancements that unlock value in payments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and architect product building blocks for seamless integration
  • Align with architectural roadmap and drive execution
  • Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, improvement-focused environment
  • Provide technical thought leadership to leadership teams
  • Develop and store/display complex data effectively
  • Write clean, extensible code with best practices and standards
  • Build reusable components and advocate for TDD/BDD approaches
  • Support Product Owners by evaluating solution options against constraints
  • Participate in agile development to deliver aligned with business priorities
  • Introduce AI-driven enhancements with measurable value
  • Support recruitment for team growth
  • Contribute to Digital and Technology strategy
  • Facilitate a productive DevOps-oriented development environment
  • Engage with engineering communities across platforms
  • Coach and guide less experienced engineers
  • Maintain strong cross-team relationships and communication
  • Translate complex technical topics for varied audiences
  • Identify opportunities for personal, team, and process improvement
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in software development
  • SaaS-focused experience
  • Experience with microservices including Azure FaaS, .NET Core, and AWS services
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Experience with Azure and AWS native services
  • Experience driving AI-assisted engineering practices
  • Strong knowledge of VS Code, Visual Studio, Rider, ReSharper, Jira, .NET, C#, ASP.NET
  • REST/SOAP, WebAPI, JavaScript, React.js, Redux
  • JWT, Storybook, Jest, Enzyme, SQL Server, Dapper, Log4Net
  • Autofac, MSTest, ADO, Git, Octopus Deploy, SpecFlow, Selenium, JMeter, Gherkin
  • DevOps/DevSecOps understanding
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
