Overview

In this role you lead and contribute to the development of cloud-native, microservices-based payment technology solutions within JPMorgan Chase. You work across disciplines to deliver secure, scalable software that supports the bank’s commercial and investment objectives, while driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and modern architectural patterns. You partner with cross-functional teams to reduce outages, improve performance, and evolve production systems. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on high-impact delivery within a trusted, enterprise-grade technology environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver cloud-native, microservices-based applications
  • Build secure, production-ready code and review peers’ code
  • Model domain concepts to create clear, evolvable software
  • Automate remediation and improve operational stability
  • Lead communities of practice and promote new technologies
  • Adopt enterprise AI-assisted development practices with validated standards
  • Apply SDLC tooling and automation to increase value and speed
  • Design scalable architectures with zero-downtime releases and resilient data performance
  • Drive continuous technology updates and avoid single points of failure
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering with hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and production support
  • Proficiency in back-end technologies (Java, Python Springboot, Node.js) and front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular) for full-stack roles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, JSON
  • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Ability to solve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision
  • Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools adoption and setting validation standards
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, security, resiliency
  • Proficiency in automation and CI/CD, and agile methodologies
  • Experience in banking domain is a plus
  • AWS certification is a plus
