Lead Software Engineer

In this role, you will help shape and deliver trusted, market-leading technology that powers the firm’s cloud-enabled capabilities. You’ll contribute as a core engineering unit within the Calypso team, building a managed infrastructure platform to standardize cloud provisioning and reduce toil for application teams. You will drive secure, scalable production code and lead architectural evaluations with internal and external partners. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role with a focus on modernization and operational stability.

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and troubleshoot complex problems
• Automate recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Lead architectural evaluation sessions with vendors and teams
• Drive adoption of new technologies through communities of practice
• Contribute to a culture of inclusion, diversity, and collaboration
• Support CI/CD and automation to enable rapid, reliable software delivery
• Engage with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives
• Help define and implement cloud provisioning standards for an internal platform

• Formal cloud training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operations
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Java, Python, Terraform
• Strong automation and continuous delivery capabilities
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security)
• Experience with APIs, AWS cloud, Kubernetes, and platform engineering
