Overview

In this role you own the end‑to‑end operational integrity of the Atlas Wholesale Platform, ensuring production risk controls, audit readiness, resiliency, and reliable outcomes. You’ll lead with hands‑on engineering while partnering with cross‑functional teams to keep the platform secure, scalable, and observable. You drive remediation, design reviews, and automation to raise engineering excellence, balancing risk with delivery. This is a chance to shape production readiness at scale in a cloud‑first environment.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable owner for Atlas Wholesale Platform's production risk, controls, and operational outcomes
  • Lead audits and control testing activities, including evidence and remediation coordination
  • Own lifecycle of risk and control findings from intake to closure with cross‑team collaboration
  • Maintain and update architecture and operational documentation (designs, data flows, runbooks)
  • Own resiliency and disaster recovery planning, including objective setting and post‑action reviews
  • Define and improve production readiness standards (release safety, rollback, observability, runbooks)
  • Contribute hands‑on to design, reviews, automation, and complex troubleshooting with secure, reliable solutions
  • Build/run automation to improve ops outcomes (guardrails, health checks, drift detection, automated remediation, safe deployments)
  • Lead architecture/design evaluations with partners and vendors for security and operational viability
  • Promote enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards and reusable patterns
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to enhance automation and value of development tooling
Key requirements
  • Experience building and operating enterprise software in production
  • Strong operational accountability, including controls, resiliency, and remediation tracking
  • Solid system design fundamentals and cloud‑native patterns (scalability, reliability, observability, dependencies)
  • Hands‑on experience with Go and modern CI/CD practices
  • Experience operating on AWS and Kubernetes or EKS in production
  • Practical experience with Terraform and release‑oriented automation
  • Strong SDLC practices knowledge (automated testing, change/vulnerability management)
  • Ability to influence without direct reports, aligning stakeholders to close issues
  • Experience leading and defining AI‑assisted development tooling usage with governance
  • Understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows (data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency)
