Overview

In this role you design and deliver cloud-based applications and services, aligning solutions with business goals. You work with architects and engineers to optimize performance, scalability, and security, while driving operational stability through automation. You stay current with Cloud and AI/ML trends to foster innovation and lead communities of practice across Software Engineering. You will contribute to building resilient, cloud-native systems and APIs that support the bank’s digital initiatives, making a measurable impact on reliability and velocity.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement cloud-based applications and services
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
  • Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Stay updated with Cloud and AI/ML technologies and industry trends
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote adoption of new technologies
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
  • Experienced in cloud development (AWS) focusing on application design and development
  • AI/ML model integration, Prompt engineering, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Bedrock) and Generative AI
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and event-driven/serverless architectures
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks and DevOps
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
  • Proficiency in data warehousing (Snowflake, Iceberg) and relational databases (RDS, Oracle)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and related frameworks (Flyway, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, JMS, JDBC, Hibernate/JPA)
