Overview

In this role you will lead the formation and growth of a dedicated data-platform tribe, focused on building and optimising a proprietary data platform. You will steer technical strategy, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards across the team. Expect to tackle scalable data challenges and drive adoption of modern graph-based data approaches. You’ll work in a hybrid London setting to deliver reliable connectivity solutions, shaping the company’s engineering culture and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the tribe and recruit the team to scale the data platform
  • Oversee build, optimisation and reliability of the proprietary data platform
  • Establish technical standards and best practices across the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align with company mission of improving connectivity
  • Foster a culture of learning, mentorship, and high-performance delivery
  • Experiment with and justify new technologies that improve outcomes
  • Build, ship, and run solutions with a focus on scalability and quality
Key requirements
  • In-depth experience with graphical databases, Neo4j or GraphQL
  • Proven track record of leading teams and building data platforms
  • Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript; familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Hybrid work model in London; collaborative and goal-oriented
  • Problem-solving orientation with ability to select and implement optimal solutions
