Overview

In this role you will lead and execute the technical strategy for departure and compliance platforms, shaping data integration across DCS, reservation, and government systems. You will be a hands-on engineer with squad leadership responsibilities, driving reliable software delivery and engineering excellence. You’ll work closely with product and design to translate business needs into pragmatic solutions for a global airport network. This is a chance to influence safe, compliant operations at scale and to bring AI-assisted tooling into the development workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Senior technical contributor with light leadership responsibilities
  • Hands-on coding (60%+) and guiding a squad of 1–4 engineers
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager and Product Owner to align delivery with priorities
  • Maintain engineering standards and operational ownership; apply CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud practices
  • Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the squad’s workflow
  • Deliver predictable, high-quality software and support continuous improvement
  • Coach and support 1–4 engineers and coordinate with Engineering Manager and Product Owner
  • Work with product, design, and stakeholders to solve business problems
Key requirements
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with a track record of building, shipping, and operating production systems
  • Experience leading technical work within a small team while remaining hands-on
  • Full-stack experience across backend, frontend, and cloud in multiple languages/frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, cloud infrastructure, and production support
  • Experience mentoring or coaching engineers with strong interpersonal skills
  • Initiative in using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)
