Overview

In this Lead Software Engineering role, you will design and deliver Java-based trading solutions for automated equities platforms. You’ll collaborate with global trading, quant, and IT teams to advance the platform, optimize trading engines, and build data-driven tools. You’ll work through the full software lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, shaping scalable, low-latency systems that support core business initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product leads to identify improvements for existing and future tech solutions
  • Develop and enhance trading strategies and engines using core Java
  • Coordinate with global trading, quant and IT teams to advance the platform and business goals
  • Work across the project portfolio on algorithm development, performance improvements, trading signals, and data analysis
  • Participate in the full SDLC from requirements to design, development, testing and deployment
  • Build high-volume, low-latency, resilient, scalable, and message-driven systems using cutting-edge Java and modern hardware
Key requirements
  • Core Java knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment
  • Experience with Git/Stash and Jenkins
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into well-designed solutions
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to work in a global team
  • Knowledge of web services (REST) and TypeScript with Angular preferred
  • Experience with low-latency pub/sub messaging
  • Experience with time-series data analysis (KDB/q)
  • Interest in automated market making, DMA or algo trading in liquid markets (equities, FX, etc.) using FIX protocol
