Overview

In this role you will lead and contribute to secure, scalable Python-based solutions for the Commodities Derisking Team at JPMorganChase. You will collaborate with front-office trading desks and cross-functional teams to design and deliver trusted technology products, advancing production quality and operational stability. You’ll explore innovative architectures, drive automation and CI/CD practices, and mentor engineering communities. This is a chance to influence risk-aware, cloud-native platforms at scale within a leading financial institution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop next-gen applications for commodities trading desks globally
  • Engineer secure, production-grade code and review peers’ work
  • Improve operational stability by automating recurring remediation
  • Lead architectural evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams
  • Promote and lead communities of practice around new technologies

Key requirements
  • Experience with Front Office Trading Desks
  • High proficiency in Python
  • Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operations
  • Proficiency in automation and CD/CI methods
  • Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security)
  • Experience with cloud-native environments
