Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer in Corporate Technology, MarketRisk Technology, you design and deliver full-stack solutions for the Wholesale Credit Risk platform. You collaborate with product and risk stakeholders to build scalable, cloud-native applications that power risk assessment and monitoring at scale. You’ll integrate AI/ML capabilities to enhance analytical functions and drive smarter risk decisions. The role combines leadership, hands-on development, and modernization of the risk technology stack to support critical decisions across global portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and deliver scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React for wholesale credit risk workflows
  • Lead cloud-native design ensuring high availability, performance, and security across distributed systems
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into risk platforms to enhance analytics and predictions
  • Execute end-to-end SDLC activities including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
  • Collaborate with product managers, risk stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Champion engineering best practices (code reviews, TDD, CI/CD, automated testing)
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence and innovation
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, address performance and security bottlenecks
  • Contribute to evolving the team's technology strategy and evaluating new tools/frameworks
Key requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade backends
  • Hands-on experience with modern front-end development using React or equivalent
  • Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, RESTful API design
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems
  • Proven ability to lead technical delivery across the full SDLC in an agile environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills to independently resolve complex technical challenges
