Overview
As Lead Software Engineer in the Payments team, you will craft a cloud-based, high-performance payments application. You’ll design and implement end-to-end payment flows and contribute across multiple technical areas to support growth. In a collaborative agile environment, you’ll drive innovation and stability in a rapidly expanding business. Your work will directly impact scalable, low-latency payments solutions and trusted technology products.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and troubleshoot software solutions
- Write secure, production-grade code and review peers' work
- Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery
- Define and enforce validation standards including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing
- Encourage reuse of proven patterns across the team
- Leverage SDLC tools and enterprise AI automation capabilities
- Lead architectural design evaluations with internal teams
- Lead communities of practice to adopt new technologies
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
- Hands-on coding experience with a proven track record
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant AI adoption
- Experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Java
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes in relevant disciplines (cloud, AI/ML, etc.)
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and cloud-native experience
