Overview
As Lead Software Engineer in EPAS, you design and deliver scalable automation platforms that keep the firm secure and reliable at scale. You will shape backend services and APIs using Java and Go, driving enterprise automation across AaaS, Ansible Automation Platform, AutoM8, and AI-enabled service management. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance observability, automation, and resilience while adopting AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and pace of delivery. This role offers impact through platform tooling and hybrid cloud automation within a fast-moving, security-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Java and Go services, APIs, and automation tooling across EPAS products
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards
- Improve observability, automation, self-healing, and operational resilience across EPAS platforms
- Partner with product, architecture, SRE, AI/ML, and risk teams to translate automation needs into production-ready software
- Contribute to secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and SDLC tooling
Key requirements
- Advanced experience in Java, Python and Go software engineering
- Backend services, distributed systems, automation platforms, microservice frameworks
- Experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, event-driven automation, workflow orchestration, REST/gRPC
- CI/CD practices, automated quality gates, deployment automation
- Linux, containers, Kubernetes, public/hybrid cloud, IaC, observability practices
- Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices
