Lead Software Engineer - Java / Oracle - ETF Technology

In this role you lead development of trusted, scalable technology for the UCITS ETF platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient financial software. You will build and review secure production code, and drive operational stability and AI-assisted engineering practices. The position sits at the intersection of technology and investment management within the ETF Technology team in EMEA, with high visibility and impact. You will help shape products that support one of the leaders in the Active ETF market.

• Develop and deliver innovative software solutions, design, and troubleshooting to solve complex problems
• Produce secure, high-quality production code using Java, Oracle, and SQL; review and support code written by others
• Collaborate with ETF product strategy, portfolio management, platform teams, and middle office to align with business objectives
• Improve operational stability via monitoring, production support, root-cause analysis, and automation of recurring issues
• Promote enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality, speed, testing, and reliability while ensuring compliance with standards

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with hands-on experience in design, development, testing, and operations in an enterprise setting
• Advanced hands-on Java experience, strong Oracle/SQL skills, data design concepts, and scalable application development
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle including agile delivery, CI/CD, resiliency, secure coding, testing, and production support
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn ETF, finance, and investment management concepts with ownership of delivery and stability
