Overview

In this role, you will design and deliver trusted software solutions within JPMorganChase's Cloud Financial Management team. You will work in an agile setting with cross-functional teams to advance secure, scalable technology that supports the firm’s objectives. You’ll tackle complex problems, drive technical excellence, and contribute to a culture of innovation. The opportunity centers on shaping cloud-native products with AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery. You will lead by example, mentoring teammates and aligning with the company’s mission to enable secure, high-impact financial technology.

Responsibilities
  • Develop creative software solutions, design features, and troubleshoot complex problems beyond routine approaches
  • Produce secure, high-quality production code; review and debug others' code
  • Advocate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and operations, with standardized validation and pattern reuse
  • Leverage SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation value
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to boost system stability
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability within existing systems
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with hands-on system design and development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Java) and full SDLC expertise
  • Strong knowledge of agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Practical cloud-native development experience
  • Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency and security expectations
  • Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines (ETL/ELT, orchestration, monitoring, data quality) in production
