Lead Software Engineer - Java/React/AWS

In this Lead Software Engineer role, you build and deliver trusted, scalable technology within IP Product Management at JPMorganChase. You are a core technical contributor shaping secure, production-grade code and guiding AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery. You collaborate across product, security, data, and platform teams to align on priorities and drive sustainable improvements. • Design and implement creative software solutions and troubleshoot complex problems
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and reliability
• Leverage SDLC tooling and automation to increase value of engineering processes
• Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability
• Collaborate with product managers, security, data, and platform teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions
• Own remediation of engineering hygiene issues (vulnerability findings, dependency upgrades, test coverage) with automation and standards

• Solid troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
• Strong hands-on experience in Java
• Front-end visualization experience using React (or similar)
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure (ECS/EKS/S3), Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted development tools and setting team expectations for validating AI outputs
