- Lead and mentor a small tech team, including 1-2-1s and performance reviews
- Drive architecture, design, and implementation work with a hands-on approach
- Refactor and improve the existing codebase while delivering new features
- Build and evolve APIs, preferably with FastAPI, for core banking platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on technical direction
- Ensure software quality through CI/CD, testing, and adherence to SDLC best practices
- Contribute to setting engineering standards and fostering continuous improvement
- Strong Python backend development experience
- Leadership experience with mentoring and people management
- Experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI)
- Knowledge of cloud services (GCP, and AWS/Azure as acceptable alternatives)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing, and deployment processes
- Strong CS fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns, algorithms)
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- STEM degree with 2.1 or above
