Overview

In this Lead Software Engineer role, you will guide the design and delivery of trusted technology products in a secure, scalable cloud-native environment. You’ll work within the Markets Research Technology team to support the firm’s business objectives and solve complex data, backend, and AIML challenges. You’ll help industrialize AI/ML models at production scale while contributing to architecture and cross-functional collaboration. This opportunity combines hands-on engineering with leadership in a fast-paced, innovative finance setting.

Responsibilities
  • Execute software solutions and design, develop, and troubleshoot complex systems
  • Deliver secure, high-quality production code and maintain operationally stable algorithms
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure constraints are met
  • Build engineering stack for Data and AIML products (data engineering, backend, Cloud infra DevOps, MLOps)
  • Design and implement data engineering solutions using modern big data technologies
  • Contribute to communities of practice and exploration of new technologies
  • Demonstrate continuous learning, problem-solving, and a can-do mindset
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with one or more modern programming languages and SQL
  • Experience in large corporate environments with SDLC knowledge
  • Proven track record in designing, architecting, and developing microservices, distributed systems, and data-intensive apps
  • Experience with Cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, containerized development, big data, and modern data engineering technologies
  • Production-scale cloud-native data engineering experience in commercial environments
  • Familiarity with Cloud Data engineering services (ETL, Glue, S3, Athena) and MLOps stacks
  • Ability to communicate design choices clearly to stakeholders of varying backgrounds
