Lead Software Engineer - React/UI

As Lead Software Engineer in Markets Technology, you will guide the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure market-leading software. You will work in an agile team to support the firm’s business objectives, collaborating with vendors and internal groups to evaluate architectural designs and drive outcomes. You’ll lead communities of practice, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on to high-performance UI development. This role offers impact through shaping technical strategy and improving operational stability.

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot innovative software solutions beyond routine approaches
• Deliver secure, high-quality production code and review others’ work
• Identify and automate recurring issues to improve stability of applications and systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architecture and technical credentials
• Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies and best practices
• Foster an inclusive team culture and contribute to diversity and inclusion efforts

• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience leading and managing a UI engineering team with hands-on React and Javascript
• Designing, structuring, maintaining and scaling high-performance UI applications
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Experience with cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related technical disciplines
• Understanding of the financial services IT landscape
