Lead Software Engineer - Scotland

In this Lead Software Engineer role, you help drive the delivery of digital products for clients, blending hands-on engineering with team leadership. You work across domains and stacks, advocating value-driven solutions that balance speed and simplicity. You will mentor engineers, contribute to internal communities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve measurable outcomes. • Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality digital products
• Contribute hands-on coding while guiding others to implement solutions

• Proficiency in Java, Typescript, Python, Go, C#, or frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte)
• Experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
• Strong focus on Accessibility, Security, Performance and Caching coding
• Proven experience leading a team and developing talent
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and obtain security clearance
