Overview

In this role you will lead the frontend direction and hands-on delivery for a latency‑sensitive, real‑time trading UI used by traders and sales. You’ll partner with product, design and control partners to translate workflows into high‑signal UX at scale, while ensuring secure, compliant delivery in a fast‑paced global environment. You’ll shape the UI architecture, drive performance and testing strategies, and mentor engineers to raise engineering excellence. The opportunity centers on building a mission‑critical, responsive front‑office experience that integrates with backend and platform services and leverages AI‑assisted development practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver UI capabilities for Execute from discovery to production support
  • Set front‑end direction: architecture, standards, performance, testing strategy
  • Collaborate with product, stakeholders, and designers to translate trading workflows into intuitive UX
  • Improve quality via testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Build high‑performance, real‑time UIs with strong responsiveness and stability
  • Develop scalable UI architecture, component libraries, and shared platform services
  • Promote engineering excellence: code reviews, quality gates, CI/CD, observability, operational readiness
  • Ensure secure, compliant development aligned to firm standards
  • Mentor engineers and foster inclusive team culture
  • Collaborate with backend, platform, and SRE for end‑to‑end solutions
  • Adopt enterprise AI‑assisted development practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with validated AI outputs and secure usage
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to boost automation and value of development processes
Key requirements
  • Hands‑on production UI experience with React and TypeScript in large-scale apps
  • Strong front‑end engineering knowledge: state management, async data flows, UI architecture
  • Performance optimization, testing strategies, and CI/CD automation
  • Experience delivering real‑time or data‑intensive UIs
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in standards setting, design, and mentoring
  • Solid OO/design fundamentals, debugging, documentation
  • Familiarity with agentic development approaches across the SDLC
  • Strong communication for global, cross‑functional work
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems
  • Experience leading AI‑assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, secure handling of data, resiliency and security expectations
