As Ultra Low Latency C++ Lead Software Engineer in the Electronic Trading Technology team, you design and operate market gateway solutions with FPGA acceleration to power high-speed trading. You’ll drive the software lifecycle, focusing on stability, latency optimization, and continuous improvement. You team with hardware engineers to integrate FPGA pipelines with the C++ stack, delivering reliable trading connectivity and risk management capabilities. Responsibilities- Develop creative software solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting
- Create reliable C++ code for trading connectivity and risk controls on Unix/Linux
- Implement end-to-end low latency client setups, including production rollout and validation
- Automate remediation to improve operational stability
- Define and execute test strategies for latency, throughput, and resiliency
- Adopt and promote AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery speed
- Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation value
- Lead development of market access trading and risk management modules
- Participate across the software development lifecycle of electronic trading services
- Collaborate with Application Development, Business Analysts, and Operations
- Integrate FPGA pipelines with C++ software for deterministic performance
- Proficiency in modern C++ on Unix/Linux with multithreading and OO design
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and production stability
- Scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell) for automation
- Advanced understanding of Agile, CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Ability to review and debug others' code
- Knowledge of low-level TCP/IP and network stack behavior
- Comfort working with infrastructure and networking teams
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and secure validation standards
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
