As a Lead Software Engineer in the Options Algorithmic Trading team, you will design and optimize algorithmic trading engines for options and translate strategies into scalable, reliable software. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve execution, performance, and system robustness in a market-ready environment. The role blends hands-on coding with guiding best practices and AI-assisted engineering to drive secure, high-quality solutions. Responsibilities- Develop and troubleshoot secure, production-grade Java code to solve complex problems
- Design algorithmic trading strategies and translate them into scalable algorithms
- Refactor and optimize code for performance, testing, and reliability
- Collaborate with product teams to align strategies with engineering delivery
- Promote an inclusive team culture and adopt enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices
- Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted automation to enhance code quality and delivery
- Build systems for order management, trade execution, market data processing, and risk management
- Ensure operational stability and reliability of trading systems
- Formal training or certification in software engineering; advanced proficiency in Java
- Hands-on system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in at least one programming language; strong automation and CD capabilities
- Experience with algorithmic trading systems and familiarity with FIX
- Proven ability to lead AI-assisted development tools usage with validation standards
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading in Java
- Familiarity with financial markets, especially equities and options
