Overview

As Lead Solution Engineer at TikTok, you drive scalable, production-grade solutions that meet client needs by partnering with Product Engineering and cross-functional teams. You’ll act as a technical lead across Solutions Engineering, shaping architecture and engineering excellence. You’ll apply TikTok’s products to unlock commercial opportunities for advertising clients while collaborating with Customer Success and Product Management. Your work spans end-to-end system design, launch planning, and long-term maintainability, enabling partners to grow their business with innovative tech.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and development of scalable, production-ready solutions with Product Engineering teams
  • Provide architectural guidance and drive engineering excellence across the Solutions Engineering org
  • Identify and maximize new and existing commercial opportunities with advertising clients using TikTok products
  • Partner with Customer Success to uncover business opportunities and support goal achievement
  • Design and build end-to-end systems with launch plans, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and documentation
  • Identify stakeholders and align cross-functional teams toward project completion
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Use data to present business value and impact to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related fields
  • 5+ years of software development, technical solutions design and delivery
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C/C++ and API/backend systems design
  • Hands-on ML infrastructure experience: training, deployment, evaluation, tuning, data pipelines
  • Ability to tailor technical presentations to diverse audiences
  • Experience in advertising technology with large-volume data analytics
