Overview

In this Lead SRE role, you drive reliability for global Google Cloud environments within the Infrastructure Platform. You will lead SRE frameworks, aiming for top-tier SLOs, while guiding teams across time zones in a follow-the-sun model. You enable AI-assisted incident management and ensure governance, security, and cost awareness. This role blends hands-on platform engineering with leadership to shape scalable, automated operations in a financial services context.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement SRE frameworks to support global cloud environments and ensure high SLO attainment
  • Provide technical supervision, oversight and problem resolution for engineering activities
  • Champion a DevOps model to automate and elasticate services across platforms
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis
  • Improve the quality of engineering documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Manage partnerships and budgeting related to cloud operations and cost control
  • Support and accelerate incident investigation and knowledge capture while ensuring data sensitivity and security requirements
Key requirements
  • Google Cloud and Azure cloud expertise in a mission-critical production environment
  • Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, GKE and HELM
  • Programming in Python, shell scripting or Go; strong REST API knowledge
  • Hands-on with cloud-based monitoring and operations tools (Google Observability, Azure Monitor, Data Dog, Prometheus, Splunk, Elasticsearch, Grafana)
  • Experience with AI-enabled SRE workflows and validation practices; ability to evaluate AI-assisted recommendations for risk and security alignment
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud governance, compliance, and cost management
  • Proficiency with Agile, CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Jenkins
  • Google Cloud certification or equivalent public cloud experience
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI SDKs and GitHub Copilot skills
