Overview

In this role you lead the design and delivery of complex digital and data solutions for UK Government clients. You shape end-to-end architectures across cloud, data, and integration, coordinating with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with policy and technical constraints. You drive governance, security-by-design, and assurance activities in fast-paced, high-trust environments. Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and architecture of solutions for complex public sector programmes
  • Define end-to-end architectures spanning cloud, applications, data, security, and integration
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business goals and government policies
  • Support all delivery phases from discovery to live, ensuring compliance with GDS Service Standards
  • Drive architectural decision-making, governance, and reusability across programmes
  • Support pre-sales, bids, and client proposals as a technical SME
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to evolving public sector offerings
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience in solution/enterprise architecture within government or regulated industries
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns, Azure and AWS, integration patterns, and data platforms
  • Proven ability to shape client strategies, operating models, and business case development
  • Bid and pre-sales experience, including shaping proposals and presenting to stakeholders
  • Understanding of government standards and frameworks (Digital Service Standard, GDS criteria, NCSC cloud security)
  • Experience in agile delivery and cross-domain collaboration
  • Excellent communication and executive-level influencing skills
  • Background in consulting, SI, or technology leadership in public sector
