Overview

Hippo seeks a Lead Technical Architect to shape the architectural vision and technical strategy across client engagements and our internal practice. You will lead complex digital transformations for public and private sector clients, influencing C-suite stakeholders and guiding multi-disciplinary teams. You will drive pre-sales, technical responses to bids, and contribute to Hippo’s thought leadership. You will enable secure, scalable, and well-engineered platforms using cloud-native approaches, data insights, and agile delivery to deliver tangible societal impact.

Responsibilities
  • Define architectural vision, standards and best practices for the delivery practice
  • Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives
  • Lead complex, strategic technical engagements with architectural oversight and quality assurance
  • Mentor and coach architects and senior engineers
  • Drive pre-sales and bid responses, shaping new opportunities
  • Contribute to thought leadership through public speaking, writing, and community engagement
  • Make and communicate key architectural decisions that affect multiple projects or clients
Key requirements
  • Senior-level Technical Architect with a track record of leading large-scale digital transformations
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures across major Public Cloud platforms with multi-cloud strategies
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native stacks, hands-on Kubernetes and advanced CI/CD tooling
  • Extensive Infra-as-Code experience, especially Terraform
  • Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
  • Expert knowledge of security, networking, and governance in cloud contexts
  • Experience in a consultancy, including pre-sales, proposals, and business growth
  • Agile leadership experience
