Lead Test Architect

As Lead Test Architect, you will define and drive the overall test strategy for complex safety-critical products, ensuring testability is embedded from concept to delivery. You will collaborate with design, systems, manufacturing and project teams to develop robust testability requirements and verification approaches. You will mentor technical specialists and influence design decisions to improve test coverage and diagnostics. • Lead a team of Test Architects and technical specialists
• Define product-level test strategies and embed testability in system designs
• Specify and oversee development of complex test equipment and solutions
• Collaborate with design, systems, and manufacturing for verification and diagnostic coverage
• Develop and manage lower-level test requirements across disciplines
• Analyze architectures to identify test coverage gaps and improvements
• Support diagnostic strategies, fault isolation, and built-in test capabilities
• Influence design decisions balancing performance, cost, risk and test coverage
• Provide technical leadership across projects and governance activities
• Engage with senior stakeholders and customers to communicate solutions and progress
• Contribute to departmental strategy and capability development

• Significant experience on complex, high-integrity engineering systems
• Strong understanding of test architecture, verification, validation and diagnostics
• Experience specifying or developing automated or semi-automated test solutions
• Knowledge of digital, analogue electronics, microprocessor-based systems or electronic test methodologies
• Proven leadership experience or strong technical leadership
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience managing technical requirements through the engineering lifecycle
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and deliver practical solutions
