Are you an experienced Test Engineer ready to take the lead on testing, fault-finding and product validation within a highly technical manufacturing environment?
We’re working with a Birmingham-based engineering and manufacturing business that is looking for a proactive Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer to take technical ownership of all product and system testing activities.

Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer
- Lead functional, electrical, environmental and system testing
- Develop and continuously improve test strategies and procedures
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and customer witness testing
- Carry out electrical and electronic fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Support production, commissioning and customer activities
- Manage test equipment, calibration and technical documentation
Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification
- Experience within Aerospace, Defence, Marine, Rail, Oil & Gas or ATEX-regulated environments
- Significant manufacturing test engineering experience
- Proven experience leading testing activities within a regulated industry
- Strong electrical/electronic fault-finding skills
- Experience leading FATs and customer witness testing
Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer
Ideally you will have experience with:
- LV switchgear, inverters, drives and VFDs
- 440V 3-phase power systems
- HiPOT/DWV testing up to 4kV
